In San Francisco, transit stories are often told at the scale of deficits, ballot measures, downtown commute patterns, and agency-wide service maps. But in Bayview-Hunters Point, one of the most meaningful transit stories is smaller and more immediate: a purple-and-orange community shuttle that people can call when the regular system does not quite meet the shape of daily life.
